The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has announced a major change for the candidates preparing for the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2024. In response to candidate feedback and concerns, the board has decided to eliminate negative marking from the Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test this year.
Several students who intend to take the exam were anxious about the potential penalties for incorrect answers. This move aligns CET with other key eligibility exams in the state, such as REET, PTET, SET, and NET, which also do not feature negative marking.
The CET is designed to assess the abilities and knowledge of students seeking admission to various academic and professional programs. The examination was implemented in Rajasthan a few years ago.
It serves to streamline the recruitment process for positions including Land Record Officer (Patwari), Village Development Officer (Gram Vikas Adhikari), Junior Accountant, Sub-Divisional Revenue Accountant, Sub Jailer, Women Supervisor, and Supervisor, among others.
The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has also released the schedule for the upcoming CET examination. The advertisement for the Rajasthan Graduate CET Exam was issued on August 6. Online applications are open from August 9 to September 7.The CET examination will be conducted on October 21, 22, 25, and 26.
