WATCH: Virat Kohli's Surprise Greeting and Rohit Sharma's Heart-warming Response
Ahead of the second over of RCB's chase, Virat Kohli's cheeky greeting left MI opener Rohit Sharma surprised.

Even though Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2024 turned out to be a relatively one-sided affair, it had several entertaining moments right from Dinesh Karthik’s creativity with the bat to Suryakumar Yadav’s pyrotechnics.

Then there were interactions between the players of the two team with Rohit Sharma teasing Karthik with T20 World Cup taking the spotlight.

Virat Kohl’s response to crowd chanting ‘Kohli ko bowling do!’ was another hilarious moment but there was one particular exchange between the two modern batting greats that is now going viral on social media.

Ahead of the second over of RCB’s chase, Kohli’s interaction with Rohit left the former MI captain and commentators surprised.

Recently, during an event, Kohli talked about his cricket journey that coincided with Rohit and how the two have been playing together for 15-16 years now.

“We (I and Rohit Sharma) played together in the last 15-16 years. It’s been amazing journey we’ve shared together. We never thought that we would be left with 2-3 senior players. It’s been a great journey together,” Kohli said.

“I have seen Rohit Sharma’s growth as a player and everything he has done in his career. Now he is leading the Indian team, it has been amazing,” he added.

Meanwhile, the contest was a contrasting affair for the two. While Kohli was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for three runs, Rohit gave MI a superb start in the chase of 197, hitting 38 off 24.

MI went on to win the contest by seven wickets riding on Ishan Kishan’s 34-ball 69 and Suryakumar Yadav’s 52 off 19. With this win, MI have climbed up to the seventh spot in the team standings while RCB are languishing at the ninth spot having lost five of their six games thus far.

MI have another challenging game awaiting them as they host Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. On the other hand, RCB face a red-hot Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday.
