Shah Rukh Khan while taking a lap of honour had interrupted the JioCinema experts panel and the superstar was seen apologizing profusely for his mistake.

It was an evening to remember for Kolkata Knight Riders and their co-owner Shah Rukh Khan as the franchise made their way into the final of the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 1 at Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

As Aakash Chopra, Parthiv Patel and Suresh Raina were doing a live show for JioCinema, Shah Rukh was seen taking a lap of the Narendra Modi Stadium and he unwittingly ended up cutting in between the broadcast.

After realising what he had done, the Bollywood actor swiftly moved away from the shot but as he made his way out, he was seen apologizing to the panel profusely.

It was a dominant performance for the Kolkata-based unit as they crushed SRH to book a place in the title clash.

Mitchell Starc showcased his class and experience by starting things off with three wickets in the Powerplay. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy took things forward through the middle overs as SRH set a target of 160 which proved to be insufficient.

Ramnanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine gave the start KKR needed with the bat and following their dismissals, Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer took them home in no time. Both scored quick fifties as KKR hunted down the target in 13.4 overs.

The focus now shifts to the Eliminator today where Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Rajasthan Royals. The winner of this contest will then fight with SRH in the second qualifier to decide the second finalist.
