India pacer Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan celebrate their third wedding anniversary today, March 15. Bumrah has currently been gearing up for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While competing in the 2013-14 edition of the T20 tournament, Bumrah first crossed paths with Sanjana who was there to interview the cricketer as part of the official broadcaster. It was the debut season for the speedster, who has played for Mumbai Indians throughout his IPL career.
After Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan completed three years of togetherness, the Mumbai Indians family wished the power couple via a special social media post. The franchise shared a picture of Bumrah and Sanjana on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Bowling us over with their partnership every single time! Wishing Jasprit and Sanjana a Happy Wedding Anniversary.”

After meeting each other during the 2013 IPL, Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan eventually became friends. Following their marriage, Bumrah once revealed that he and Sanja stopped interacting much as they assumed each other to be arrogant.
Their love story began in 2019 when Sanjana Ganesan, a former TV presenter, had jetted off to England to cover the ICC ODI World Cup. The pair dated each other for nearly two years before tying the knot in a private ceremony at Goa in March 2021.
Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan welcomed their first child Angad in September last year when the India cricketer was in Sri Lanka to feature in the Asia Cup. Bumrah took a return flight ahead of a group match against Nepal to be with his wife.
Bumrah also shared the good news through an X post which read, “Our little family has grown and our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it.”

Jasprit Bumrah is heading to the 2024 IPL on the back of a commanding performance in a recently concluded Test series against England. While spinners mostly dominated the campaign, Bumrah also demonstrated his class on home soil. He folded the five-match series as the third-best bowler following Ravichandran Ashwin and Tom Hartley. In four matches, Bumrah scalped 19 wickets including a five-for.
