As Match #10 of the Indian Premier League came to a close, the Kolkata Knight Riders walked away with the win beating the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to win by 7 wickets. They now become the third side to remain undefeated in the tournament and the first to win an away game as well.

Being asked to field first, KKR were at the mercy of RCB’s ever-present, Virat Kohli who managed to put up a clinical performance to score 83 off 59 deliveries as he remained unbeaten through the innings to help the home side score 182 runs in 20 overs. His innings was also supported by the cameos from Cameron Green who scored 33 and Dinesh Karthik hitting 28 runs in the first innings.

RCB bowlers were unable to curb the efforts of Sunil Narine who managed to set the tone in the chase as the visitors managed to take the game away with a strong performance in the powerplay. Despite Narine missing out on a half-century, Venkatesh Iyer chipped in with 50 off 30 deliveries to take the game away from RCB. This was followed by the skipper Shreyas Iyer who finished off the game with a maximum to win their second game on the bounce.

Points Table Update After RCB vs KKR

In the league standings, the Kolkata Knight Riders have pipped the Rajasthan Royals to take the second spot. The two sides share 4 points but KKR’s superior run-rate puts them at second in the table. They also join RR and Chennai Super Kings to remain undefeated in the current season after their first two games.

Orange Cap Standings After RCB vs KKR

In the run-scoring charts, it is none other than Virat Kohli who has taken the lead with 181 runs coming in the three games he has played so far. He went past Heinrich Klaasen after his brilliant knock against KKR at home. RCB’s star finisher, Dinesh Karthik has also jumped to seventh in the table having scored 86 runs in the tournament without being dismissed so far. KKR’s Phil Salt has taken up the 10th spot with 84 runs. He managed to set the tone in their chase scoring 30 off 20 deliveries.

Purple Cap Standings After RCB vs KKR

In the race for the highest wicket-taker, Harshit Rana has jumped to second with five wickets following his brilliant display with the ball picking up 2 scalps. He got rid of the RCB skipper Faf du Plessis within the powerplay and Anuj Rawat during the death overs. Behind him at the third spot is none other than KKR’s premier all-rounder, Andre Russell who has a total of 4 wickets. He picked up two today getting rid of Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar to put the visitors in front.
