Tamil Nadu's Suruli Waterfall Temporarily Closed After Elephants Camp In The Area
The Forest Department has temporarily banned all tourists from visiting and bathing in the Suruli waterfall.

Tourists from all over the country visit Tamil Nadu to enjoy its natural landscape, wildlife, and majestic waterfalls. There are many popular waterfalls in the area that are popular among tourists. They visit these places to enjoy and experience the beauty of the landscape. One such famous waterfall is Suruli Falls, located in the western ghats near Cumbum in Tamil Nadu. Animals like bears, deer, bison, and even elephants can be spotted near this waterfall.

Now, it has been reported that many elephants have camped near the waterfall, which has affected the tourists coming to the area. The Forest Department has thus temporarily banned all tourists from visiting and bathing in the Suruli waterfall. This morning, many tourists gathered around the waterfall, but they were left disappointed as the Eastern Cumbum Forest Department had asked them to clear the area. The tourists were also advised not to visit the waterfall until the groups of elephants were cleared from there.

As seen in a viral video, elephants can be seen near the waterfall. They can be seen moving in groups and eating grass and leaves. The tourists have been advised to stay away as the route is dangerous because of the wild animals.

Earlier in May this year, an elephant in the same region had gone rogue. The Forest Department in the area had ordered the capture of the animal. According to reports, the elephant had vandalised the areas near the human settlement and could have even attacked the people living there. Reportedly, the elephant was finally traced because of the radio collar attached to it.
