The stock market on Friday, March 19, gave a positive ending breaking the losing streak of five previous trading sessions, where both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty gained over 1 percent. The indices on Monday, March 22, on the contrary, are likely to open lower as at 7:20 am the SGX Nifty was trading at 59.50 points or 0.40 percent down at 14,687.50. On March 19, the BSE Sensex jumped 641.72 points or 1.30 percent to close at 49,858.24. Similarly, the NSE Nifty hiked 186.15 points or 1.28 percent to settle the day at 14,744.00.

Bharti Airtel: On Friday, the telecom major had entered into an agreement for the acquisition of 17,43,560 equity shares in Sandhya Hydro Power Project Balargha Private Limited.

Tata Motors: Marc Llistosella will not be joining the company as its CEO and Managing Director.

JSW Energy: Orders for a total wind capacity of 450 MW has been received by JSW Future Energy from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

Vodafone Idea: An inadvertent error has been found by the company in the subscriber data for January 2021 data. The company has now corrected and submitted the revised information to TRAI.

Power Grid Corporation: 74 percent stake of Jaiprakash Power Ventures will be acquired by the company in Jaypee Powergrid for Rs 351.65 crore.

Adani Green Energy: A share purchase agreement has been signed by the company for acquiring a 100 percent stake in an SPV holding 50 MW operating solar project of the Toronto-headquartered SkyPower Global.

Bharat Dynamics: A contract has been signed by the company for the production and supply of Milan-2T Anti-Tank Guided Missiles. Rs 1,188.12 crore is the value of the contract.

Infibeam Avenues: 0.39 percent equity stake has been sold by the promoter entity O3 Developers in Infibeam Avenues via an open market transaction on March 17.

PNC Infratech: Credit rating ‘A’ has been assigned by CARE Ratings on the bank facilities of the company’s subsidiary, PNC Gomti Highways. A stable outlook has also been assigned by the agency on bank facilities of Rs 559.30 crore.
