In a one of its kind incident, Ford Motor Company has sued WWE star and Hollywood actor John Cena over an alleged breach of contract. The surprising allegations by Ford claims that John Cena sold his 2017 Ford GT supercar within 2 years of him receiving it from Ford. This has resulted in a breach of contract between him and the Ford Motor Company.
A copy of the lawsuit filed by Ford Motor Company was sourced by XWYZ TV and state that Cena sold the car for a “large profit from the unauthorized resale flip…" and that Ford “suffered additional damages and losses…." Among those losses claimed in the suit are brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill.
Ford has sued John Cena for $500,000 and said that the Ford GT is an extremely limited car, given to selected people across the globe, on a condition that they will keep the car with themselves for a said period of time, which in this case was minimum 2 years. However, it is assumed that John Cena couldn’t refuse the deal he got on the car and sold it without realizing the legal implications.
The report by XWYZ TV further reports that while John Cena is apologetic and want to work with Ford to solve this problem, Ford has said that they filed a lawsuit as Cena was not co-operative with Ford. John Cena was seen with this blue colored supercar in a series of videos he posted on his YouTube channel.
John Cena claims himself to be an auto geek and was last seen reviewing this car, in which he was not able to adjust easily, thanks to his wrestling style physique.
Whatever the case might be, John Cena is in a deep trouble. The amount he might have got over and above his buyout money for the Ford GT must be higher than the $500,000 lawsuit he is facing!
